For the most part, Iowa played cover 4 from what I could tell and they tried to take away the deep passing game, so that opened up the underneath passes to Ballard and then to Saine leaking out in the flats.

Good job by TP of taking what the defense gives him and of not forcing the ball. He had a few timely scrambles to pick up big yardage especially on the one that set up Boom's 10 yard TD scamper. Great job TP, you're headed to a 2nd consecutive BCS bowl.

I had to work, and missed a lot of the game even on the radio. I'm glad to see the completion percentage was up, and it sounded like he led them on some long, time consuming, many play drives. That's the kind of thing that when he gets his legs back and JT opens it up a bit, will really make this offense shine. Quick strike arm and legs plus consistent third down conversions, nice.

i dont understand why tressel doesnt let tp loose to throw the ball down field and make plays with his feet. hes shown a shiiit load of improvement and growth the last 3 or 4 weeks, so why not let him build off of that in a big game like this? he played well again today and made smart decisions by not forcing anything.

It's perhaps that growth that you're seeing exhibited by the fact that he didn't throw down field into coverage that was designed to take away the deep ball pretty much all day long. Ever think of that? Perhaps JT wanted to go down field but coverage didn't allow for it without too great a risk of an INT and TP made the right reads? Methinks you need walk a mile in their shoes.

Pick your poison son... deep ball and a few INTs or manage the game and take what the D gives you... including the W. Me? Yup... gonna take the W.

Exactly, there were plenty of deep routes. But they were all covered. TP did great job of checking down. Iowa made a conceited effort to not let Posey get behind them.

I was at the game and only saw one bad read all game. He had boom open to the right in the flat for the first down but instead he kept looking left then ran at the defensive end and tried to spin back the other way before getting sacked.

The checkdowns were nice. Finding the RB's in the flat and Ballard crossing the middle on an underneath route were really nice reads by Pryor.

yes- this is how pryor has grown since the purdue game...hes been able to make more checkdowns and find his second and third options more along with tucking it and running

I remember DC making a nice play for a first when we needed it. Dane had a grab and I think only a couple went to DP. I need to rewatch the game... but they were like superglue on the receivers for most of the game. I'm actually surprised that Carter was as open as he was for that first down catch.

After the Purdue game, Pryor has simply been lights out. Great decision making today and I felt he was always doing the right thing...I felt like a more athletic Krenzel was out there and the team absolutely needed what he did. Having a consistent run game is certainly helping his growth as well. He just is starting to look really comfortable out there.

ya i just went back and watched sum of the game. duron and devier each had a catch, but both of them were for big first downs. sanzenbacher had a couple, but i was suprised with ballard, good senior day for him

Once again, Pryor looked great today. He pulled the ball down and ran it when it mattered most (3rd down), and he didn't lock in on a primary receiver. Oh, and he didn't have any turnovers, just like last week. Think about that for a minute, against the Big Ten's two best defenses (besides OSU) he didn't turn it over. He's really coming along now and becoming a damn good field general. Kudos once again TP!
