QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

If a scUM QB had said that this board would be going through the freaking roof with criticism and smart a** comments.

I think Terrelle is a fine young man, but as a neutral observer, that quote coming out of the mouth of any kid who is a highly recognizable face of a major program is going to give people pause, no matter what team they follow. In a word, it is cringe inducing. And you do not have to be a hater to cringe. The eyeblack shout out is no biggie, but the quote was - shall we say - not very well articulated or thought out. And, no, I'm not saying that he is not a bright young man, or that the kids who play for my alma mater could not stick a foot in mouth too....like Chris Rainey, who it's great to be...

Devil's advocate here: How would we have reacted if Tater or "shoelace" came out and said something like that? I have no issue with the eye black with him growing up a Vick fan, but saying that was a little questionable. I'm not going to get into an elongated discussion about the social ramifications, just taking a step back and looking at it without my S & G goggles.

I'm not talking about the quote. I laughed at Terrelle's bizarre comment and agree it wasn't the smartest thing to say.

I didn't get why Rich is so appalled at the eyeblack. His reaction doesn't really fit.

but Pryor's move irked me for its infinite stupidity.

That's a pretty vicious thing to say over wearing "Vick" on your cheek. If I didn't know what he was talking about I would assume the other cheek said "Fuck".

Yeah, it's pretty over the top. But, TP's profile is growing and you're gonna get that when you're a star athlete. If he has a breakout performance next Saturday, his star is gonna swell even bigger and he's gonna be an even bigger target.

Sounds like Rich has too much sand in his vagina. He may need to get himself checked out.

Scout.com: 5 Thoughts ... What To Do With BYU?

Not understanding the hostility just for something no one can see unless the camera closes in. It was a pretty harmless gesture.

Why is no one freaking out about the Eagles signing Vick. To me, that seems like they are supporting Vick much more than Pryor. Pryor wore 'Mike Vick' under his eyes while the Eagles are paying him millions. I wouldn't have preferred the 'Block O' strips myself.

Maybe he meant to put Marcus Vick.

So its news that people on Buckeye Planet are homers?
No. But the people on BP shouldn't act like they are on Bucknuts. Also, why are you guys trolling scUM scout boards? Wasn't there a big ordeal earlier this week when a USC fan was quoting Bucknuts on here and we all laughed at him because we ARE NOT Bucknuts?

Who gives a fuck what a scUM fan thinks of TP? Especially a scout board scUM fan. Fuck M*ch*gan and their QBs.

You guys? I wouldn't be caught dead on a s.t.u.n. website. It would probably give my computer a virus faster than one of those nasty ann arbor girls.

We couldn't ask for a better QB. Apart from the absurd athletic ability, the kid is all heart and is motivated to get better every week. I cannot wait to see the show he puts on against USC.

As for the Vick black out, I took it as the very zenith of irony. He's a player with brains and heart that Vick cannot even imagine. Vick ought to wear TP black out.

I re-watched some parts to specifically watch Pryor and his decisions. You can obviously tell he was told not to do it himself in the Navy game. One big play that wouldn't normally happen...the pick... normal TP runs for a first down. Tressel had to have been in his ear all day about not running and risking it before USC. He had a blocker on the only guy that would have had a chance and instead decided to toss it to Sanz. If he ran woulda went for 20-30 yards easy. I think he is about to explode on Saturday with a big game, especially when Tress takes the reigns off.

Same reason no one is freaking out about Tony Dungy supporting and mentoring Vick.

It was scripted: JT said before the game Bauserman was coming in for the 4th or 5th series, to give the backup some live reps because he's always 1 play away from having to step in for real.

Well, sometimes you're one play from having to insert your backup QB in a game that counts, and sometimes your one play away from having to insert your starting QB in overtime against a service academy. I'd prefer Bauserman get his reps when the game is in hand, not before.
