QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I, for one, am very impressed with Mr. Pryor. For a nineteen year old, he's taking his leadership roll incredibly seriously. Wanting to be a leader on the field is one thing, but to also want to be a leader academically is truly wonderful. I am not so naive to think that any Columbus beat reporter covering the Buckeyes is going to write something negative about Pryor (Tress would probably ban him from practice and the locker room), but to hear Pryor say that he doesn't know how he couldn't see that defensive shift, etc. again is mind-boggling (at least to me). At an age when I was just trying to get laid, he's mentally where I was at 35 (or so).

With Pryor's growth and Boren's instilling some emotion along the line, I have (another) good feeling about this version of the Buckeyes. Maybe not the NC, but certainly another BCS bowl. The Defense always shows up, but maybe this is the year that the offense catches up. Let's hope. I am starting to believe that we can beat USC.....

I was just thinking the same thing about the USC game. I thought he did very good for a freshman as far as reading defenses go. He made some nice reads in the Troy and Minnesota games, and was making solid and accurate throws on the run all year. Especially at Northwestern and Michigan State.

I must say after watching his recent video has anyone sensed his demeanor is different? He seems to be smiling more, more clear, louder, and to be honest more confident. Maybe it's just because last year he was leading a bunch of guys who were older than him and he was uncomfortable being a vocal guy to the media?

He just seems much more comfortable in that interview there... He's gonna be hard to stop obviously this year with that extra 7-8 pounds he's added.

-- Eight pounds heavier, more self- assured, and wearing either a bandana with a flap down or a skullcap with an attitude, Terrelle Pryor gives Ohio State football an edge. It has nothing to do with the flanks of a defense.

He was billed as the greatest high school player in the country and potentially the greatest quarterback ever to come to OSU, a school notably short in great quarterbacks. With a season under his belt, Pryor brings an appetite to learn that is at odds with any insinuation that he is a prima donna, and an unslaked thirst for revenge that is in keeping with his reputation as a fierce competitor.

On the field, he leveled some would-be tacklers, traded barbs with other opponents and professed boundless admiration for "nasty" players with "fire." He took losses hard. He did not alibi.

"We have some teams waiting for us and some teams we owe stuff to," said Pryor, who stands 6-6 and weighs 238 pounds, not counting the sizable chip on his shoulder.

He's the man: OSU's Pryor adds bulk, confidence

COLUMBUS - Brash is one of the dominant traits in Terrelle Pryor's genetic makeup. The Ohio State quarterback looks in the mirror, and the alpha male of the pack is staring back at him.

Last year, he had to keep that hyper self confidence partially cloaked, be humble, and force himself to defer to the elders. With a senior starter returning at the position, Pryor was the understudy.

That lasted less than a month, but even after he replaced Todd Boeckman in the Buckeyes' lineup, Pryor was careful to be diplomatic and respectful of the veteran. Once Ohio State turned the page following the Fiesta Bowl loss to Texas, the makeup of the team changed, and so did Pryor.
Two weeks into spring practice, it is clear Pryor is different and more like himself.

"Terrelle's always been confident, but now I guess he's more comfortable in his role," sophomore wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher said Friday. "He's the quarterback, so he's naturally a leader on the offense, and he seems really comfortable with it. And he's doing a great job at it."

Holy shiznit...6'6" and solid 240, with a stiff arm that was only exceeded by Beanie's. I'd imagine he has also at least kept his speed, if not increased it a bit, under the S&G program. This kid could be a truly all-time great by the time he's done...
