I'm pretty sure something was wrong with his shoulder. His throwing motion changed. It looked like he was favoring it. It also makes sense why TB was throwing a lot in the Fiesta Bowl. I really don't think it's a mental issue with him, he's a pretty confident kid, the type of player that is going to play better in big games, not worse. I still feel like once he is cut loose he's going to just create big play after big play on his own.Because I wasn't able to post back on bucknuts (yes, I was on their board searching around. Hey, it's the offseason.) I will post this here.
There seems to be a lot of people who believe Terrelle didn't progress as the season started. I however think he did improve tremendously.
I think the games he struggled most in, atleast passing wise, was the Texas and also the Michigan game. I think the only reasons he struggled in those games were due to the importance and also the type of defenses. Texas imparticular was a very blitz happy defense and simply didn't allow him the time to scan the field, and with a freshman QB who doesn't know where all his targets are that can be problem. I believe for a freshman Pryor was still better than I expected, but apparently that view isn't shared by everyone.
What does everyone else think?
Nowhere near a big deal. A lot of fans with high expectations were just expecting him to be so lights out from day one that he would be a three and done at QB, which is essentially unrealistic. He isn't Superman. But, he's plenty good. It shouldn't even be up for debate.xcrunner;1390546; said:Wait, him staying is a bad thing? :P
daveeb;1390535; said:Okay, yeah, when he makes a mistake, he looks like a 6'6" Kordell Stewart. But, here is the reality about TP:
1. He threatened to take himself out of the game if he couldn't move the team down the field.
2. He has been looking to his other options.
3. He has a willingness to learn.
4. He has a billion physical tools.
5. He makes everyone around him better.
6. He has advanced as a QB.
7. He started as a true Freshman without Spring Practice.
8. He's the man on campus.
9. He's a leader: That is what made Troy special.
We'll be more than fine. Whiny Bucknuts people really need to see the big picture. The big picture is that the guy was a true freshman. Yes, he probably won't leave after his Junior year, like a lot of people were predicting. Big deal. He's the man. If he gets the technical part of the game down and if he can learn to use his great running ability to buy time to make the important throws (Northwestern was a preview) nine times out of ten, well, then we should win a lot of games.
