I hope we see him take off more. He'll be a good passing QB in time but against a PSU defense that attacks the QB, he could really exploit them for some big gains with his legs. This Saturday would be a great time for his first 100 yard game.

My swing feels like an unfolding lawn chair.
they did a thing on gameday about why defenders can't tackle TP. the main reason was his strides. he can cover 5 yds in literally 2 steps, so defenders are thrown off by this and take bad angles. it was pretty interesting to watch.

I'm getting drunk and watching the MSU game, so I may be talking straight bullshit, but, from what I've seen from TP in the first two months of his collegiate career, we may be witnessing uncharted waters, as far as CFB is concerned. Michael Vick and Vince Young were not that far beyond where TP is right now. After seeing the progression that Troy Smith made at OSU, my brain can't comprehend how good TP might be in two years. Like I said, once he learns how to set his feet, sky's the limit. He may not ever get to the level of passing of, say, a Sam Bradford (or he might), but his athleticism is just crazy good. Just when you thought it was the best time in history to be a Buckeye fan, it just got better. Here's to a breakout game vs. State Penn!

that pass to hartline was pretty ugly fundamentally, but he still got the TD. like you say, once he learns to set his feet and put the ball where it needs to be he will be rediculous.
any qb's out there that can answer a question. is throwing a good deep ball something you can learn or are you born with it? it seems to me that it takes a lot of touch and instinct that you may not be able to learn.

Considering where Vick and Young were as redshirt freshmen it's amazing what he's doing. I thought Young was the black Matt Jones until his Redshirt Junior year. RS Junior Vince Young is Bo Jackson Tecmo Super Bowl good. But I agree, once TP can get the fundamentals down, watch more film and gain experience, he will become a much better passer and game manager thus becoming a much better player. One of the keys is that Pryor is already avoiding INTs, although we'll have to wait and see at the end of the season how good his TD/INT ratio is.

Eric Crouch won the Heisman, but no NFL team considered him as a QB. Troy became a pocket QB, and won the Heisman, but there were many times that he could have run for positive yards. I hope that TP finds the middle ground, and just fucking dominates. He's so fucking good.

TP is a great runner but I wouldn't put him on Vick or Young's level. Those two could juke just about anyone out of their shoes. Right now, Pryor either runs over you or runs by you.
