Rob Oller commentary: Tressel ball puts clamps on Pryor

We all make misstakes. See what I mean? But focus too much on the gaffes and other cracks will emerge, such as the anemic Ohio State offense led by a quarterback so intent on not messing up that he muzzles his instincts.
Of course I'm speaking of Craig Krenzel. But I could easily be describing Terrelle Pryor, who is like the worrier so intent on keeping the sky from falling that he steps in quicksand.
Pryor's total yardage has fallen progressively in each of his four starts. His passing yards dipped to 97 against Purdue last week, after spiking at a pedestrian 144 yards against Wisconsin two weeks ago.
But Pryor is only the latest OSU quarterback at the center of the conundrum: "How can so much offensive talent fail to set off fireworks?"
The Buckeyes are next to last in the Big Ten in total offense, nearly 121 yards behind leader Penn State, and rank last in passing with 143.6 yards per game.
