Now it might be because JT is trying to bring him around slowly or it might be that he is setting up 'SC. Imagine their shock after seeing film on TP and being told by the coaching staff that this "kid doesn't throw deep" only to see TP roll out on an option play and pull up and throw a bomb downfield......

His multiple dimensions as a thrower and passer may help with bringing some things to the table USC hasn't seen yet. Also lining him up at a WR position with Boeckman under center and then running the play Pittspuke ran in the Superbowl (I THINK it was in the superbowl) would be absolutely amazing.

However, except for one or two good runs today, what did Pryor do that makes you so sure that he should be getting that many snaps against a defense which is one of the best in the nation? Not saying you're wrong or anything. But how can you expect a true freshman QB to come into only his third game against a veteran and expert defense and not make mistakes? And this is a game that Ohio State cannot afford to make mistakes in. And because of this and if the game is tight, I would not expect to see too much of TP (unless JT is so confident of TPs instincts and decision making that he breaks with his consevative tendencies). TP shows great promise, but I just don't feel condident that TP can come into this game and not make mistakes.

Coach is trying to get his team ready for USC...That's it.

If its 2nd and 4 next week why not give pryor a quick option with beanie or MoW? Then if he messes up and moves it back a couple or maybe just gains 2 yards you can then either put Boeckman in or just have Pryor stay in for another down. I think we will see more spot action from Pryor next week. Atleast I'd hope so because having someone of that capability on the bench all game long will make zero sense. Find a way to atleast get him involved because he's one of those players that could possibly bust you a 30 yard run against an aggressive defense like USC
