QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

My Only comments on this situation until he commits somewhere is this-
If Mallet Transfers, Pryor is heading to Michigan, no doubt about it. It would be hard for him to turn down being the unquestioned big man on campus and for sure starting QB at Michigan.

If Mallet Stays, I think he is ours with the help of Brews Crew.
That's what Jonas said.

Problem is that it seems very likely that Mallett is going to transfer (probably to Arkansas), at least as far as I have read.

Right now his skills would translate better to the Spread Option attack, However if he ever wants to seriously become a good passer(and consequently an NFL QB) he would do well in choosing OSU because our Spread offense would help him to refine his passing skills and make him a more complete and NFL ready QB.

I like your response....and I agree 100% that if he wants to go to the NFL he goes more as a Warren Moon and not so much as a Mike Vick/Randall Cunningham/Vince Young. This is what made Troy a good quarterback - he used his feet 1/4 of the time and used his arm 3/4 of the time.

Yeah, it's a good thing an athletic quarterback like Troy Smith went to West Virginia so that he could have a great chance to be a starting quarterback in the NFL and pick up a little piece of hardware called the Heisman along the way.

Wait...

Troy wasn't compared to Michael Vick like Pryor is being compared to Vince Young. Besides, Vince Young got hurt last night because he was being himself - a run first qb. Troy will never make it in the NFL if he tries to play like Vick, Cunningham or Young -three inconsistent qbs.

The only point I am making is that if wants to make his career as the next Vince Young he shouldn't consider OSU.

In all honesty, I see Terelle as a likely high-1st rounder regardless of where he matriculates. With his ridiculous athleticism he could project that high as a defensive end.

He should go where he feels he will be most comfortable IMO. Hard for me to see how someone could be comfortable around a sneaky creep like DickRod, but that's obviously just me. Maybe Terelle likes that sort of coach. :ohwell:

I can't imagine Mallet's staying or going will have any bearing on Pryor's decision. Pryor is already better suited for RR's offense than Mallet is, and RR has no particular "loyalty" to Mallet as it is.

Hardly a problem. As I said right above, I can't see any way what Mallet does makes the least bit of difference to Pryor. Mallet didn't turn in to a Pat White type QB when RR took the Skunkbear job. In other words, the Mallet talk is a red herring so far as I can tell.

Doubtful.

He could go to M*ch*g*n and help the team, or to Ohio State where the team can also help him. QB development and OL protection will be key to making it to the next level fully armed for maximum success... is there really a question?

Just what I was thinking...beyond the inside info, the decision just makes since on the surface. I really just think Gray doesn't know what he is talking about as far as the Mallet situation goes.

I am going to have to stick with guessing Pryor pulls a surprise commit at the AA game. With no official visits actually set, the planned "visits" could be nothing else other than trying to throw people off so he can pull a shocker.

Well, it's true that he won't have a bigger stage on which to annouce than the AA game...
