There hasn't been a mentally competent mobile QB we have stopped since, oh I don't know, around 1412, and so yeah let's face a 6'6, 235 lbs monster who runs a 4.3. Yeah, that's exactly who I want to face. Let's look at numbers against mentally competent mobile QBs lately, shall we? Juice Williams, Vince Young reincarnation against you guys be damned, is not mentally competent.
Oregon's Dennis Dixon (39-7 loss) 16-25, 292 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 16 carries, 76 yards, 1 TD
Appalachian State's Armanti Edwards (34-32 loss) 17-23, 227 yards, 3 TD, 2 INT, 17 carries, 62 yards, 1 TD
Ohio State's Troy Smith (42-39 loss) 29-41, 316 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT, 4 carries, 12 yards, 762 gray hairs for me screaming at the LBs to contain.
Ohio State's Troy Smith (25-21 loss) 27-37, 300 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 11 carries, 37 yards, 1 TD
Texas' Vince Young (38-37 loss) 16-28, 180 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 21 carries, 192 yards, 4 TD
Ohio State's Troy Smith: 13-23, 241 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 18 carries, 145 yards, 1 TD
Etc.....You get the point. It's well-documented. So yes, I would LOVE to face a guy with Vince Young's size and running ability, Dennis Dixon's speed, Troy Smith's leadership and throwing abilities and Armanti Edwards' elusiveness...:(
I'm gonna go cry now...

Pryor in the spotlight as PIAA playoffs set to begin

TRIBUNE-REVIEW

Jeannette's Terrelle Pryor has faced a variety of distractions, as the Jayhawks prepare for a PIAA Class AA quarterfinal game against Karns City (12-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Clarion University.
During school hours and after practice Wednesday, Pryor, arguably the nation's No. 1 high school recruit, went through a series of photo sessions with freelance photographer Robert Clark, who was shooting Pryor for an article in ESPN The Magazine.
He had another photo session last week with a different publication, and he met with college coaches earlier this week.
Penn State coaches Tom Bradley and Jay Paterno were at McKee Stadium in Jeannette on Monday and Ohio State assistant coach Joe Daniels was there Tuesday. Internet bloggers reported about the Penn State and Ohio State visits minutes after the coaches left.
The word is, Rodriguez?s staff was hoping to get an official visit from Jeannette, Pa., quarterback Terrelle Pryor, the nation?s No. 1 recruit, this Saturday. But that won?t happen. After the standout helped the Jayhawks crush Beaver Falls by 61-12 in the Western Pennsylvania Class AA playoffs, his team is moving toward a possible Pennsylvania title. (Whispers, though, are the Mountaineers are doing fine in their efforts with the QB, thank you very much for asking.)
West Virginia?s coaches will, however, be entertaining the dynamic Gateway, Pa., duo of Cam Saddler and Shayne Hale.

I'm not saying I'm not going to Penn State, but their offense is a little concern. They're a little inconsistent offensively.
I wish West Virginia's offense threw more. I like their offense a lot, but I just wish they threw a little more.
