The Bemoll and McClover situations were very different. In Bemoll's case, I think it was just a matter of having an opportunity to play closer to home. I remember there being smoke about the whole Clarett mess, but I don't think we can put a whole lot of stock in it. McClover was a southern kid, and it's hard to get those guys out of SEC country without a fight. Proximity was a factor in both cases.
If Jarrett was a silent, then he was a short-lived one. Again, not the same kind of situation at all, and again, a kid from outside of the B10 region.
In all three cases, there was smoke before there was fire, and we had reasons to doubt that the verbals or silents were completely firm.
People are going to find reasons to worry even when there's no cause. There's nothing in Pryor's reported recruitment that should have us concerned in any way. The #1 OL class in the country is coming here, the #1 WR class in the country is coming here, and as the top rated QB, he knows that he can be part of something amazing. If he goes anywhere else, he's going to have to watch some other QB taking advantage of all of the talent he should have been playing with.

tressel and matta together are going to watch pryor this week. that should address your concerns.pnuts34;968991; said:I was just reading on another site that Pryor is almost surely going to WVU, because the coach told him that he could play b-ball as well. Is this just hearsay or has anyone else heard this??? The last I checked couldn't he play b-ball at tOSU, and on a better squad?

This is like waiting on christmas day to open gifts......

I believe that if Pryor were signing an LOI tonight it would be to OSU. But too many times I have received ties in those boxes that looked for all the world like they held a BB gun. (don't ask me why anyone would waste all that paper)
In any case, it is sure to be a wonderful Christmas - with or without any specific package.
