QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Much more polished at this point. Actually, I am surprised at how developed his mechanics are for not playing QB for very long and the season ending injury sophmore season. Having seen him live, there is a lack of consistency in mechanics but let's be honest, he is at the high school level and it's hard to even find a coaches kid who is consistent at that level. On film however, he shows a quick release (Pryor had and still has, to a degree, a windup). He consistently squares his shoulders to his target and when he steps into his throws, he is accurate...Pryor threw on the run often and rarely stepped into his throws. He can get it out quick and accurately on short routes, thread the needle on intermediate routes, and can obviously throw the ball a mile and accurately. The only throw he needs to work on is his touch pass and he needs to get his release a little higher, especially not being much over 6 ft. tall. Overall, I would say his mechanics are pretty darn advanced for a dual threat QB in high school who has played the position live for a little over a year. Physically he isn't as advanced as Pryor (6'6 235 lb. freak athletes with cannons don't come along often), but he could end up a better pure passer. As I said earlier, his game is awfully reminiscent of Troy.

...and might I add Braxton looks a whole lot more advanced in his progression than Troy at the same times in their high school careers.

Which makes you wonder how great this kid can be. I'd say he's got more of a gun for an arm than Troy had. This kid can make every single throw. And his accuracy is there too. It's all there. Even his footwork is pretty darn good for a guy who's in HS still.

There's a reason he's the number 1 QB in the nation. The sky is the limit for Braxton and I really hope and believe that we see him here at Ohio State. The NEXT great QB thru O-State after Troy and Terrelle!!!:osu::oh::io:

Thanks for the break-down, great reading. Gives me the shivers just thinking about this gentleman suiting up for the Scarlet and Gray. Would love to see this kid commit sooner than later and really be the catalyst for some big commits landing in Columbus this class.

Not a bad breakdown,he is miles ahead of TP with his mechanics. Isnt the athlete that TP is but who is really. He is about 6'2 and I dont know what you are talking about when you say that he has only been a qb for a little over a year? Braxton has been a qb for as long as I have known him.

The summer of his freshman year he started out at wideout. It wasn't until the season rolled around that he was playing QB and even then, I believe he wasn't on the field at QB at all times. Sophmore year he had a season ending injury early on. Then he played QB full time last year...I meant that he has only played in live game situations at QB for a little over a year.

So you mean at Wayne...ok because he started about half-way through his freshman year and did get hurt is sophomore year. He has been a qb growing up though.

You can't deny his arm strength.... Above clip at 1:25 and 2:33, he can sling the ball. As long as he continues to progress to learn how to read a collegiate defense and fully understand a collegiate offense, the sky is the limit for him. He has all of the physical tools to be a great one, and from what I've heard out of him during interviews, he seems to have his head on pretty straight. I for one am hoping he's a Buckeye, and sooner rather than later.
