Maybe if you get into the endzone, the next goal is to turn around and run the other way to get back to the other endzone for another touchdown on the same play. 50% of the time, he was able to score the second touchdown.

I just hope Braxton gets most of the playbook down by Spring practice. If not we have some solid options who can start in his place. I just prefer to bring him along slow and don't rush things, because QB is such an important position. And I don't want a guy thrust into the starting lineup based off of HS rankings and overzealous fans who are just itching for the next great thing.

Miller will be MUCH further along come the start of the season than what TP was when he took over for Boeckman. Given that fact that Braxton is already a better passer than Terrelle was up until maybe this year, and he will have the whole spring and summer whereas TP just had the summer, I think Tress will start him to get "the future" some good game reps.

The key benefit I believe Miller enjoys over TP's history prior to tOSU is the relative quality of competition he has faced.

Miller's background is much closer to having faced the level of competition afforded by a traditional top-flight Western PA football player, whereas TP's Jeannette PA team typically played teams with smaller student bodies.

Not a knock on TP, it simply is the case that he was man amongst (relative) boys, in truth it is a strong testament to TP's learning ability that he got up to speed against quality opposition as quickly as he did. Meanwhile, Miller has stood out since his days as a Freshman. A young man amongst other young men if you will. Gives him experience against a generally higher quality of opponent as a result. Gives him a somewhat shorter learning curve, in prospect, when he makes the step up to the next level.

I agree, just wonder if the kid does really well why not keep miller. Miller reminds me of Troy Smith. Just bigger and faster, tressel's offense seems to fit a miller type qb.

Because this is Pryor's team, and the veteran laden squad is loyal to him.

There was disharmony when Pryor unseated Boeckman, particularly in the abrupt manner they made the change. However, that change was unavoidable with the disastrous protection upfront and Boeckman's lack of confidence and poise within it.

That was also a rebuilding year. This is OSU's best shot at a title for a few years.

I love that OSU's "rebuilding year" ends at the Fiesta Bowl. It's good to step back and take a good look at the success of the past 6 seasons.
