QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Well, IMO Miller look light years better than Pryor at this point - he has great motion, great mechanics, and can only get better (yeah, he COULD get worse). I agree with the above statement - when we needed the biggest play, with braxton in the endzone, he nearly took it to the house. Thats all I need to see.
Light years better than Pryor? Do you remember Pryor's first game his junior year? He was like 17-25 for 250 yards, with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. He went on to break total yards records and made big play after big play. I think Braxton can surpass those numbers, but to say he's light years ahead of where Pryor was is probably a bit much.

I think he is referring to Braxton's form and mechanics of being a quarterback, not comparing stats...I could be wrong. I don't know how to measure light years, but that is a long way ;-)

Fair enough, although I don't think Pryor's mechanics were better or worse than Millers. For some reason, Miller seems to be immune from criticism about his lack of ball security. I recall Pryor being hounded for the same issues.

Regardless, I think Miller is about to have a HUGE day against SDSU. I'm predicting 250 passing and 50 rushing.

Miller has a much more natural throwing motion than TP did. Braxton's issue is he has no touch when he throws the ball, especially on shorter passes, although this is improving.

That's funny because I was thinking his lack of touch applied more to his deep ball. I loved the way TP threw the deep ball but hated how his short passes seemed so off. I have always thought Miller throws a beautiful 10-20 yard pass but his deep balls are always line drives.

Urban Meyer on Braxton Miller: 'There's a chance he'll be ready next week'

The health of Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller will likely be a much-discussed topic this week as the Buckeyes prepare for their first road test of the season. (Marvin Fong, The Plain Dealer)

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Urban Meyer said quarterback Braxton Miller "could have" returned to Saturday's game against San Diego State. In the end, however, the Ohio State coach opted to stow his star on the sideline, where Miller rested his wounds.

Miller exited the 42-7 win against the Aztecs on the Buckeyes' opening series. He was carted to the locker room and supplied with a brace on his injured left knee.

He eventually returned to the Ohio State bench, but Meyer preferred to keep Kenny Guiton under center, rather than risk further injury to the Heisman Trophy hopeful.

"The things that make him dangerous are his wheels," Meyer said of Miller. "We all decided it was best not to [put him back in]. I think there's a chance he'll be ready next week."
