Troy Smith is the clear-cut favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. He figures to collect additional hardware before then.
Smith on Wednesday was named one of five finalists for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

Colt Brennan were also were named finalists Wednesday.
The winner will be announced Dec. 7 and receive the trophy at the Walter Camp Football Foundation's annual awards banquet Jan. 13.
The 2006 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and leader of the top-ranked Buckeyes, Smith threw for 2,507 yards with 30 touchdowns and just five interceptions. His most recent effort, a 316-yard, four TD performance against rival Michigan, clinched Ohio State's spot in the BCS national title game Jan. 8.
McFadden has had a breakout season in leading the Razorbacks to the Southeastern Conference West Division title. A sophomore, McFadden ran for 1,485 yards and 14 TDs and had seven 100-yard games.
A senior, Quinn was a finalist last year and has led the Fighting Irish to a 10-2 record and a shot at an at-large berth into a BCS bowl game. This season, Quinn threw for 3,278 yards and 35 TDs with five interceptions.
Slaton finished second in the country in rushing at 147.36 yards per game and racked up 1,621 yards and 14 TDs this season for the Mountaineers. A sophomore, Slaton rushed for at least 100 yards nine times and has 31 rushing touchdowns in his last 18 games.
A junior flourishing in coach June Jones' pass-happy offense, Brennan has thrown for 4,589 yards and a national-best 51 TDs this season for the 10-2 Warriors. Averaging 382.4 yards passing per game, Brennan threw for five or more TDs in a game seven times this season.
