Birm makes very valid points to him staying with aTm. And I wouldn't be surprised to see him stick there. But with the amount of time left and a season to be played(which I'd bet OSU finishes better) a lot can happen. And I wonder if the staff holds a spot open for Martell when he gets closer to February or will they just finish as much of the class as they can and focus on keeping them committed
Birm believes Tate sticks with A&M at the moment, but says tOSU gave him plenty to ponder.

Dude, this may be the craziest year I've ever seen for Buckeye recruiting! I've never seen such a year with so many studs, and many of them liking(not sure the level) the Buckeyes! Meyer has taken OSU recruiting to another level. I love Tress and what he did for the program but he was quite Ohio centric, and a number of national guys, IMO would've been passed over in favor of guys like Jig Richardson, Danny Davis, , etc. Though he would've still went after OOS guys with Midwest ties who favor OSU like Grimes, Pryor, Wade, etc. I think its harder to keep committed guys committed, and I wonder if the staff would rather spots stay open well into the new year to reevaluate guys that won't camp or are lower ranked now because the class can honestly be 90% complete by the season, but guys like Martell, Lindsey, Akers, Harris, DPJ and Kaindoh will probably be committing on NSD or at an all star game. This year actually reminds me of the earl 2000s when Texas would recruit and fill up a class with an insane amount of talent and have to turn a number of highly ranked guys. The difference is, I think that Urban and staff are much more saavy with how they use their schollies. With Clark stating he's staying with his commitment, as good as Martell is, he's no a NEED, he's a want. A big want, but this class can be amazing without him and at this point do you still go after in favor of another position? IMO give me a guy in the trenches on either side of the ball, a DB or a stud athlete/project in state WRWhat a crazy year, eh? I'm sure you've been following recruiting for a long time too... when can you remember being in a situation like this? I wish there were more room at the inn, and maybe the fact that there isn't plays into the staff's hands... but this year is setting up to be one to watch for sure. If for no other reason than to watch what the staff does with limited spots and more talent than they could take in a normal year.
