QB Lincoln "Dakota" Kienholz (Official Thread)

Out of all the QB's on the roster and those we have committed for future years, I'm most excited about Dakota.
To your point, he obviously has athletic talent/ability, but there also seems to be a lot of heart in him that you don't always see in QBs. I can see him throwing a killer block on an OLB who's asleep at the wheel. Other kids will respond to that.

Freshman quarterback Lincoln Kienholz saw his first action of the season instead, completing two of three passing attempts for 18 yards in the fourth quarter, when he replaced Kyle McCord with Ohio State already leading by 38-3, which would be the game’s final score.

I was disappointed Day didn't let Lincoln crank a couple...
Similar to my dismay last year with same way he used McCord
I understand you don't want to pile on or be unsportmanlike but putting him in is developmental
Ain't developing anything handing off...
If we need to put him in a real game when it's important.... don't want that to be the first time he throws one over 10 yards
Only threw 2 times but both times put it on the money... good vibes

Agree with NJ. Certainly understand Day's attitude about not piling on, although the SEC does it aplenty. Kid had butterflies, they showed until he got the snap. Lots to like here, and also wish he would have used some of our 5* WRs that got in at the end. Mighta gotten both some relevant experience(s). Has Gebbia appeared yet? Since Brown is injured, he's the true backup if the game's on the line, methinks. Oh well, all the time on a live field goes to contribute to the player's confidence/cool under fire. Go Bucks!

I honestly had higher hopes for Keinholtz than Brown but Brown shot up the depth chart so fast. At this point I don't see the superior athleticism from Brown so I'm starting to lean more towards Kein. Don't really care who blows up just that somebody does
To be fair, Brown is in his second year in the system while Keinholz didn't even arrive on campus until August.

Wouldn't that make it even more towards Keins favor at this point then? Thought Devin was going to be a sparkplug off the bench but I didnt see that in his albeit limited reps. Give the kid his shot next game I say and see what he can do after we're beating the dogpiss out of Minny

Brown's speed was clearly overexaggerated but he has a live arm and can throw some ropes. Not even close to throwing the towel in on him, just recalibrating what to expect from his play style. That said, I am also more intrigued by Lincoln due to his athleticism and multi-sport background.
