I thought I remembered that Phil Simms used to be able to bench an obscene amount for a quarterback, and when I tried to look it up, I got to this page. It didn't have Phil Simms's bench max, but did list that Jimmy Superfly Snuka could bench 525. Which is pretty solid for a superfly.

11W: I know you and Jack Sawyer are hard workers on the recruiting trail yourselves, so how incredible has it been over the past five weeks to see how many talented guys are joining your class?
McCord: It’s been awesome to see our hard work pay off. I’ve been committed for about a year now, and to see where we are now with this recruiting class is awesome. We are off to a great start, but we still have to finish out strong.
11W: Who are some of the main guys you guys are really wanting to bring into this class to make it even more special?
McCord: Right now the guys I’m talking to are Emeka (Egbuka), Troy Stellato, JC Latham, Jager Burton and Hudson Wolfe. Also David Davidkov.

I noticed his calls are all to offensive side, which makes sense. I wonder if the staff tells him who to call or if he just calls the guys HE particularly wants on the team? Also if he gets a cheat sheet from the staff about what to talk about or what to avoid. Anyone in the know on this?

Certainly I don't know anything, but I would guess he is only calling dudes who our staff still says we are going after. If he called his own top 5, he may hear from 3 of them that they already tried to commit and can't lol. Awkward... as in, if you try to commit up North right now, and you aren't from Massachusetts... you better have a darn good reason!

Kyle McCord (2021): Over a year ago, McCord became Ohio State's second 2021 commitment when Day reeled him in from Philadelphia. Now in the class with high school teammate Marvin Harrison Jr., he's preliminarily slated to become a future starting quarterback in Columbus in a few years. McCord, who attends St. Joseph's Prep, is a five-star recruit ranked No. 25 overall. He's the third-rated pro-style quarterback in the 2021 cycle.
