Do players from the same school belittle each other on National TV. Actually read my post. I don't care if herbie calls him a pussy but be a man and do it face to face and not on TV. THATS THE PROBLEM I HAVE. Herbie can go on campus and talk to wells. Singling Wells out about his ankle when he doesn't know shit about the situation is wrong as well. Let Tressel coach, the sports medicine guy do their thing, and let kirk Herbstreit embarrass himself with his has assed predictions.

Hmmmmm..... so, let me get this straight.... if Herbie says that Steve Breaston is worthless in the Michigan offense, he's simply making a correct observation and other people are taking it all out of context and blowing it up. But, if Herbie says the Beanie has to play with pain (and if you're listening this comment by Herbie should be nothing of a surprise, since it's been all over talk radio all week) all of a sudden, he's a Buckeye basher, bla bla bla...

People amaze me. If you can't deal with Herbie's insights on Game day, watch something else.

After all the talk about Herbie recently I made a special effort to listen to him tonight. Not just what he said and how he said it, including the tone and inflections he used.
I don't know what any of he rest of you heard but all I heard was pride in, and joy about how the Bucks were playing. This during the whole first half. Anything else he said was very objective.
So all I can say now is that if you don't like what Herbie has to say then just take a hike, He is all Buckeye.

OHIO STATE INSIDER
Former Ohio State quarterback Kirk Herbstreit not surprised by Buckeyes

Sunday, October 28, 2007 Mary Schmitt Boyer and Doug Lesmerises
Plain Dealer Reporters
State College, Pa. -- ESPN analyst and former Ohio State quarterback Kirk Herbstreit said before Saturday's game he was not surprised by the 2007 Buckeyes. Yet.
"I think everybody expected them to be 8-0," Herbstreit said after wrapping up his appearance on the "College GameDay" set outside Beaver Stadium. "I think the thing that will be surprising is if they're able to get through Penn State and get through Michigan.
"When you're replacing a Heisman Trophy quarterback and two first-round receivers and a 1,200-yard back, when you replace all that and you get back to being 12-0, who does that? That's just not human to be able to lose that many players and come back and get to the point of being 12-0.

Shy TV host Herbstreit masters bright lights
Herbstreit's passion for college football drives former Ohio State QB's success at ESPN's College GameDay Sunday, November 04, 2007Mary Schmitt BoyerPlain Dealer Reporter

Judy Herbstreit has a favorite photograph of her youngest child, Kirk.

It shows a toddler, just able to stand, wearing an Ohio State football jersey and sucking on a pacifier. His little left hand is resting on the right side of his chest. It was snapped when an Ohio State football game came on TV. At the sound of the Star Spangled Banner, the little boy popped up and tried to imitate what he saw on the screen.

That was the first time Judy Herbstreit saw the power sports and television had over her normally quiet son.
