QB Justin Zwick (B1G Champion, National Champion)

By the time Big Ten doormats Indiana and Penn State came around ...
Oh how the once mighty (Penn State, that is) have fallen. I guess PSU fans are optomistic about the up coming season, but I can't believe they will be any better than a seven win club - if that. They do have a stout D, but the offensive woes are gonna continue... or so I think.

He can't be "one of the favorites to win a state title in hurdles this spring" as the article says if he's enrolled at OSU. He probably was just visiting and running on the track.
i believe there was a high school track meet at the french field house this weekend-dont quote me on it but im pretty sure

From what I saw in rewatching the Alamo Bowl I gave him too little credit, he did look pretty solid. We might not need Smith if Haw can contribute like the coaches are hoping he can. If Zwick can live up to his hype, having a fighter like Smith on the bench would be the best situation imaginable. If both truly are as equal as many think, it is better to start with Zwick and switch to Smith than vice versa.

To clarify, it's not good to have competing QBs, but if they both are capable we should still be in good shape when one goes down with injury, much like Krenzel/McMullen. However one has to be the clear favorite as the starter.

I'll take competition at every position including QB...there are plenty of worse problems to have than two and possibly three capable quarterbacks. JT has to know that no matter who he chooses, there will be naysayers, but that is why he makes the $$.

Competition prevents complacency.

Zwick, and Smith only make each other better.
Plus, they both have some experience now. So if whomever the starter is does get hurt, the backup will not be an inexperienced guy.

This is a good situation.

I meant there should not be competing QBs going into a ball game. Its ok for teh backup to be good enough to make people question the coach's decision, but the team has to be behind one QB 100%. If the team can rally behind both QBs equally, then it is a moot point.

I agree that all three QBs will push each other to become better, which is exciting not only for the next two years but also for the future of the QB position if Boeckman is the future for the bucks at the helm.
