QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Much better than last week's Raiders talk. Just get the fuck away from the Bears, who are now going to pass on setting up a JF to MHJ connection for the next decade in favor of using the 1 pick on an injury prone QB who is refusing to take part in any physicals or exams at the combine. I'm getting some skrong Greg Oden vibes from Caleb, who btw is a complete prima donna who will blow up that franchise in a moment if he thinks it's in his best interest.
That's rude to Oden everything I've seen from Oden is he tried very hard to to live up to his pick and wasn't a Prima donna just his body failed him

Hopefully this will be a good spot for Justin. He gets to learn behind Wilson and no pressure on him with those low picks. Plus the Steelers are more patient than most organizations and you can’t argue with their track record.

No offense to Oden at all, and you have it exactly right. His body was failing him, and he knew it, so he went for that lottery money before it fell apart. I just see hints of that from Caleb...take the money before the body falls apart.

What do you mean? He’s not very good. Stroud has zero weapons. Nico Collins? He’s no good. And Stroud kicked ass.

People need to stop coming up with excuses for Fields.
Anybody can thrive in the right situation. The fact everyone in the world loves him (players, organization, etc) says there is a chance he can be good in the right spot.

To me, I have the same “bashing“ rule as the good MLB umpires. Once they hear the word “you” they give the old heave ho. In other words, they accept the criticism until it becomes personal. If someone said Gebbia is a backup QB at best, I have a hard time believing anyone would say that’s bashing him. It’s our love of Fields and what he did for our team that is possibly clouding our judgment. I’ll say this with 100% certainty: starter, backup, or out of the league, Justin is going to achieve at a high level, no matter what he decides to do with his life. Man’s a winner in a way that a football game can never measure.
