I'm a little confused with all the love Wilson is getting too....he's a 1 year wonder, playing with an excellent group of receivers, behind one of the best O-lines in college football, and against weak competition.

The love fest is so over the top.

I have concerns about Fields as well, but certainly not about his physical talent. His Northwestern game tape will give anyone some cause for concern. I just cannot wrap my head around Mac Jones and his weak arm or Zach Wilson and his single season as better prospects than Fields. It blows my mind.

Especially given the NFL's track record for draft more on physical gifts than anything else. I mean, all of a sudden the same NFL that gave us Jamarcus Russel type picks is going to flip the script when a talent like Fields is there?

I thought I had stopped being shocked by NFL GM stupidity a while back but it appears I was wrong.

Mostly physical attributes is my guess. I watched some videos from his pro day and he definitely is very talented. He has a cannon and was zipping passes right on target. Granted it's a controlled/scripted performance, but he looked extremely accurate and moved around well. Obviously physical tools aren't everything, but the talent is there and his college numbers were pretty decent, too.

I'd just say....in 2019, against a "normal" BYU schedule, he threw 11 TD's to 9 picks. He did have surgery following season that apparently alleviated some pain. But even with that, the labrum surgery would have me a bit concerned.

The month of January through April drive me crazy. All year we have heard about how Justin Fields is right there with Lawrence and now they have three more players above fields?

People wonder why there are so many first-round busts at QB. This is why, because so many Scouts want to be the ones that found the diamond in the rough and ignore the diamond that is just sitting there for the taking.

If you ask me Justin is the best quarterback in the draft. In the big games there wasn't as big of a drop off for Justin as there was for Lawrence.

Orlovsky was pedalling backwards and tweeting about Fields not locking on receivers before Herbstreit said anything. He's also tweeted about Fields work ethic as well now. Should have kept his opinion to himself, but I think he is on the right side of it now. Herbstreit calling out someone's comments about an Ohio State player? One word: tattoo.
