I watched his senior film finally... my goodness.

Check the record. I stated Burrow should have started a few years ago over Haskins.

In hindsight now that Fields didn't win it all. Would you all have traded another title in 2019 instead of two years of JF?

We have to figure that LSU isn't in contention in 2019 then and we have a 2 year starter in Burrow in this scenario too. Personally I'd rather have the championship in 2019 which maybe would've been guaranteed considering our defense that year. Then again maybe Burrow gets hurt game 1 and our season goes to hell.

Which means for 2020 we are probably defending champions but we are starting Martell/Stroud/Miller or maybe we get another transfer?

I'm as big a Burrow fan as you'll find. That said, your logic is spurious at best.

Haskins in 2018:

373/533 (70% completion), 4,831 yards, 50 TDs, 8 INTs

Burrow in 2018:

219/379 (57.8% completion), 2,894 yards, 16 TDs, 5 INTs

So I think we can all agree that Urban made the correct call in the spring of 2018 (Haskins had almost 13% higher completion percentage, almost 2,000 more yards, and over triple the TDs). Now, if you're saying Urban should've picked the lesser QB in the spring of 2018 and sacrificed that year because Urban should've known that Burrow had a senior year ahead of him in which he'd make a leap that no one saw coming, well....I just don't know what to say about that logic.

Well, yeah; I'd take the 2019 "Natty", but Fields did get us in the CFPs both years.

A little misunderstood... however I think Burrow proved he can be just as good if not better than Dwayne. I have confidence he probably puts up similar numbers.

But I'm more talking about 2019 had Burrow stayed.

For sure and I want to be clear that JF is a damn good QB.

So the trade I'm wondering is...

2019 win it all but a freshman starter in 2020 with JF choosing to to elsewhere because Joe would've been here in 2019 in this scenario.

So the question really boils down to:

A. Winning a national championship in 2019 and missing the playoffs in 2020.
or
B. Making the playoff both years, losing in the semis in 2019 and losing in the finals in 2020.

I could be wrong in this one, but I'd say north of 90% of Buckeye fans would choose option A.

Haha exactly...who knows maybe we still lose to Clemson last year anyways. Fun hypothetical though.
