QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

what do y’all feed kids in Ohio?

Joe has never heard of Oyster Dressing and doesn’t intend to try it.

WTF?
My mom lived in Slidell during WWII as a youngster. my grandmother passed down Oyster dressing to her kids. I love it. sadly the recipie she used was never written down and when my sister suddenly passed a few years ago the recipie went with her. :(

Let me see if I can get my mom’s recipe for you. My oldest brother loves that stuffing, so we always had 2 dressings on Thanksgiving.

One of my favorite quotes from a cook regarding her recipe...

Q: How much do you add?
A: Just enough so that it looks right.

And that's always the right answer.

exactly.

was cooking a Jambalaya at my mom’s house.
she called from store asking how many onions i needed.
my response was “depends on the onions, i just chop until the pile in the pot is big enough”

only think i really measure is my water-rice ratio.
other than that, i eyeball everything.

same when boiling seafood.
i just wing it with the seasoning based on look and smell.
and most of the timing is based off of beers drank during different steps of the process (except actual boil time for shrimp, that goes by appearance of the shrimp).
