QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

There wasn't a #2 or #3 at the time of Joe's injury. Which is interesting because if Joe was the clear #2 in the spring of last year, like the coaches said he was, but he wasn't the clear #2 during fall camp, I'd take that to mean Dwayne was gaining on him anyway and would've probably passed him. That's speculation on my part, but I do clearly remember coaches saying there was no #2 or #3 right before he got injured.
Yes there was, Burrow was #2.

I can argue the Earth is flat all week but it's not really a credible argument. Fact is that Burrow has close to ZERO meaningful game time snaps. His most impressive feat to date is tearing up half a starting defense in a glorified scrimmage. Haskins, in probably the most high pressure stakes an OSU QB could face that isn't a national championship game, tore up the same Top 3 Michigan defense that Barrett was struggled with for 2.5 quarters. If I remember correctly he also graded out with an absurdly high QBR. I mean that pretty much gives him a significant leg up the competition no?
Just drop it... Haskins is now the guy by default so let's move forward

Well, even though I knew this was likely coming, definitely disappointed even though I love Haskins. Really think Joey would have thrived in our offense and at bare minimum, not good for depth. Definitely not saying the sky is falling by any measure, but there could be a point this season where this comes back to hurt us. But let's be real, you can't have QB depth like we have had recently without a transfer due to that great depth. One of those "good problems" leads to this occasionally, I am honestly amazed it didn't happen sooner.

In any event, good luck to Joe wherever he goes, I will be rooting for him.

I always thought there was something just a litttttttle more special when it's an Ohio kid at QB for us. Mr. Football, coach's son....kid had the whole story!

From Cardale playing for the state title and then the national title, to Braxton, to Troy, to Hoying, etc. All I know is wherever he goes, JB is going to have success, and a lot of it.
