Head Coach
It'd behoove him even more to get paid ASAP.It would behoove him to get 1 more year at college.

Why? Another year of tutelage under the great NFL QB minds of Urban, Day, and Wilson? So he can be in the class with Tua?It would behoove him to get 1 more year at college.

DWAYNE HASKINS COMING BACK? I've shared no fewer than 12 mock drafts in these Skull Sessions, but I'm sharing another one. This time though, it's more about who's absent from the list, not who's on it.
Dwayne Haskins did not Bleacher Report's Matt Miller's list of the top 32 overall players or top-10 quarterbacks in the 2019 class, and here was his rationale:
“Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins is not listed, as school sources do not believe he will enter the 2019 NFL draft.”
That is certainly some news.
Obviously, a lot can change between now and April, but if Dwayne Haskins is already planning to return to school, that certainly doesn't sound like a bad thing.
Oh, and Miller still has Nick Bosa listed as the No. 1 player in the draft, but that just seems like a given at this point.
Hill and DH are going to stay or leave, as I see it, together. There's more risk for them without the other..... at the first sign one leaves, both are gone, IMO.
Mack is largely a crap shoot. Why would DH pin his hopes there? The same for Williams and Garrett (great recruits but no B1G experience and DH has zero incentive to "nurture new talent" in his final season.)
Victor is a helluva talent, but spotty. PSU was amazing, but he remains largely a leaper/red zone guy. Victor COULD be the guy for DH, but is he enough to make him stay? I think not.
Babb, great recruit again, had an ACL in high school, then another...... if you're DH, do you wanna go there for your last year?
Olave has what... 4 or 5 catches? He's good, but again, DH would be nuts to hitch his wagon in his draft season to an unproven talent.
It really does come down to Hill, in my mind. DH MIGHT.... MIGHT stay if Hill stays. If Hill leaves, why would he stay and roll the dice on an even dicier receiver rotation than this year?
I'm trying to look at this from DH's vantage point. He's got a career on Sunday NOW. What's in it for him to risk another year?
So after the season when people actually look at his film and realize he's a top10 pick, the whispers will silence.Whispers of a return kinda surfaced when he wasn't being mentioned as often in Round 1
Tate leaving would actually force Urban’s hand to go away from the Zone read with non Dual threat QBs... I’m not saying I want it to happen but when you look at the pipeline and see where we are headed... Tate is just a last gasp... if he succeeds and the OCs leave and we revert back to Zone Read heavy Dual threats ... we’re in deeper crap than if Tate leaves....We better get Tate more involved then because we don't need Tate leaving.
I think we can get both back if we give Tate 10+ snaps a game
Mathis and Miller are much more capable running than Dwayne though... shoot even Baldwin is a better runner I think.Tate leaving would actually force Urban’s hand to go away from the Zone read with non Dual threat QBs... Especially when the offensive staff isn't going to run a system that takes advantage of your skillset. Why? Another year of tutelage under the great NFL QB minds of Urban, Day, and Wilson? So he can be in the class with Tua?
I can see DH not leaving. He is still not comfortable under pressure and I'm sure he and the coaches know that. I lean to seeing him as not a complete player as Cardell. That doesn't project out to a long NFL career.
I would even go so far as to project him as no higher than a third round, and where's the glamour in that. He would also be a project in the League with years to develop, mainly because with the pass rush in todays NFL he wouldn't last a season before being injured. So in a way it doesn't matter which receivers leave, He needs maturity at his QB position. nuf said
