QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

Like most have said, I know it's just one game against a weak defense, but to come out and throw it that well in your first ever start in the Shoe was amazing. I half expected Haskins to be so jacked up that he'd way overshoot some open guys...force a pass or two...your typical rookie stuff. I think his control and poise were just as impressive as his rocket arm. Cant wait to see him throw the deep ball. :biggrin2:

We'll know more after this week. Rutgers has a much better defense than OrSU (which, isn't saying much but still..)

EDIT

and let's not lose sight of the fact he was 6/7 for 94 yards against a (supposedly) very good defense in The Game last year. Scrambled 3 times for 24 (all of it really on 1 play) to boot.

The moment isn't going to be too big for him. Some DC's will find things to throw at him to confuse him I'm sure but this isn't a one game mirage. The arm talent has been obvious for a while.

Apparently there really is such an award: https://allstatesugarbowl.org/other...er-2016-watson/manning-award-stars-week-2017/

Oh my. I saw him play in the 2nd half of the scUM game and he didn't seem to be even a little nervous. I saw what he did last Saturday, and wow. A few of those throws were incredible (and incredible that the receivers can catch his fastball). Do I still need to see some things? Yes. I want to see how he responds when he isn't having a real good day, and I want to see how he leads when his team is struggling. But like everyone, I think we are seeing something very, very special at QB.

I don’t want to see what you want to see :-)

DWAYNE HASKINS' HEISMAN ODDS JUMP AFTER RECORD-SETTING DEBUT

96113_h.jpg

Dwayne Haskins is officially in the thick of the Heisman Trophy race.

Following a record-setting debut start where he became the first Buckeye quarterback to eclipse 300 passing yards and also the first to throw for five touchdown passes in his first start, Haskins' Heisman Trophy odds are soaring.

Before Saturday, Haskins' odds were at 11/1 to win the Heisman, but the latest odds have him at 6/1, behind just Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa at 4/1 and West Virginia's Will Grier at 5/1.

J.K. Dobbins saw his odds dip a little following Saturday's game, falling from 40/1 to 50/1, and Nick Bosa's odds also took a hit, falling from 125/1 to 200/1.

No other Buckeye has listed odds, including Mike Weber, who accounted for 189 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday.

Sorry if wrong thread, but how the hell does Nick Bosa's odds drop after a 2 sack, 2 fumble recovery, 1 TD day? Ridiculous.
