QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

I still unapologetically say that The Game 2018 was one of, if not theeee, fondest moments of my sporting fan life.

Woody bless this kid. I hope he finds the peace there, that he could not find down here.
Witnessed it in person. Putting up 62 points on those assholes. Poured it on those cock suckers. Picked them apart.

Then throwing for 500 (499) in the Big Ten champ as his dad sat across the aisle from me and my friend. Told him thank you and his son for the memories “let’s get one more win”

Then DH wins a Rose Bowl (I’ll ignore the 2nd half frustrations). Talented talented dude.

The video of him being a lil kid saying he’s going to OSU gets me everytime. “I’m going to college here.” Man, you did. And did it well.

That’s pure life before the unfortunate battles of this crazy world show up. Woody, bless him.

(After his final kneel down in the Big Ten Champ)

Dwayne Haskins deserves a tree. Dwayne Haskins deserves to live on where the legends of Buckeye football never stop growing.

Haskins died a year ago, on April 9, 2022, at the age of 24, struck by a truck on a highway in Florida. For what he was at Ohio State, a quarterback that OSU head coach Ryan Day called “revolutionary,” the Buckeyes should create something where the legend of Haskins can grow.

Let’s call it Haskins Hill, or Heisman Hill, or Haskins Heisman Hill, and let’s add it to the side of Buckeye Grove. Let’s have it reflect not only the greatness of one Buckeye gone far too soon, but let’s also have it acknowledge modern college football and the way some recent OSU stars are being left out of Buckeye Grove.

FLORIDA ATTORNEY FILES CIVIL LAWSUIT ON BEHALF OF DWAYNE HASKINS’ FAMILY AS NEW DETAILS EMERGE ONE YEAR AFTER HIS DEATH

One year after the untimely death of Dwayne Haskins, a new lawsuit looks to uncover more details about the tragedy.

Dwayne Haskins drugged in blackmail conspiracy before death, lawsuit alleges

Dwayne Haskins was drugged on the night of his death as part of an alleged "blackmail and robbery conspiracy" against the former NFL quarterback, according to a lawsuit filed by his family.

The lawsuit, filed last month in Broward County, Florida, lists four individuals, two restaurants, a golf driving range and a hotel as defendants connected to the alleged conspiracy.

Haskins was killed April 9, 2022, after he was struck by a dump truck while he was walking on a South Florida highway. He was 24. The lawsuit also lists the driver of the truck as a defendant, citing his "negligent acts" as a direct cause of Haskins' death.

A statement released Monday by an attorney representing Haskins' family also mentioned the alleged conspiracy against Haskins and said the lawsuit "is an important step in the process of uncovering the complete truth about this tragedy."

"It is believed that Dwayne was targeted and drugged as part of a blackmail and robbery conspiracy," attorney Rick Ellsley said in the statement. "In fact, his highly-expensive watch was stolen from him shortly before his death."

Haskins' widow, Kalabrya Haskins, is listed in the lawsuit as the plaintiff and personal representative of Haskins' estate. She is seeking a jury trial and unspecified damages related to Haskins' death.

A toxicology report concluded Haskins was legally drunk when he was hit by the truck on I-595 in Florida. Separate samples taken from his body had blood alcohol levels of .20 and .24, both of which are above the legal limit in Florida of .08.

According to the toxicology report, Haskins also tested positive for ketamine and norketamine, drugs that are used by medical professionals as anesthetics but that also have been known to be used recreationally.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. Two years and two days ago, on April 9, 2022, Ohio State football lost one of its greatest quarterbacks. Dwayne Haskins died at 24.

As Buckeye Nation mourned Haskins's death, former Ohio State defensive end Jonathon Cooper – the program’s first-ever Block O award recipient in 2020 – posted on X that the football program should place a memorial for Haskins on campus, honoring the signal-caller many Buckeyes came to know and love during his career in Columbus.

Man this still hurts. Haskin's seems like the type of guy everyone loved. Yeah he made a lot of immature mistakes but I haven't seen anyone that knows him have a bad word to say about him. Just saw him as a kid brother who could use some growing up.
