QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

I'm assuming the WFT will try to trade him after the season. I'm not sure what the guaranteed money situation is since that could determine if they have to hold onto him for longer. You don't get drafted that high and not get a second or 3rd chance. I think the Browns are set at backup QB for the next couple years, but I'd have no problem bringing Haskins in after that. Unless Baker makes a huge jump I think Haskins could be just as good for less money if Baker wants Mahomes or Wilson money. It's hard to put a guy in that shit show of an offense and then blame him for being bad. Of course this is also a big reason why it is good for a QB to stay in school especially when they've only started 1 season.

Dwayne Haskins signed a 4 year, $14,416,611 contract with the Washington Redskins, including a $8,504,808 signing bonus, $14,416,611 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $3,604,153...per Google

Certainly seems that way if they won't even give him snaps. Something is definitely up

Haven’t heard a peep out of Haskins agent which is interesting.

The writing is on the wall, his agent knows what is going on so there is no need to speak up and make it look like Haskins is disgruntled (i.e. not a team players). He's only owed (approximately) $3.6M a year for the next 2 years.

Six teams are paying their backup QB between $2 million and $5 million, while 23 teams are paying $2 million or less....per Google

Just sayin': I'm guessing that he'll be traded for a mid to low round draft pick before the 2021 NFL draft. He may be a good fit for some team like Tampa Bay who has a 43 year old starting QB and Blane Gabbert as a backup.

I believe they are moving on... I also believe he wont get another chance...at least with washington... he MIGHT get a chance with another team.... and teams dont draft QBs in the first round to develop them (Green Bay’s recent pick is an outlier and they did it to get a pissed off Aaron Rodgers which was brilliant).

He'll get another chance, somewhere. Rivera didn't draft him and brought Kyle Allen along with him from Carolina. Dwayne's leash was always going to be short.

He's certainly not the only reason the WFT have struggled but he's also not been able to elevate them, either. Rivera has little to lose by making a change.

Team voted him a Captain and he made a halftime speech in the first game.

Now a report comes out that Haskins wasn’t prepping and was sloppy in practice and Rivera is saying the team is sick of losing inferring it’s Haskins fault. Not getting snaps in practice and behind the practice squad QB.

Yeah, something is definitely rotten there....
