QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

I don't see having ANOTHER big game in the Rose doing anything for his draft position. He's not rocketing up draft boards because he's showing impressive things weekly......he's doing it because people are finally looking. They have everything they need from him. One more game isn't going to change anything (positively).

I look at it like a good follow-through on a swing.
He's been picking up momentum because scouts finally started watching film... but this will be their last opportunity to scout him live. And they will be watching... he's got the momentum but this would carry him through. Maybe even put him in a situation where he doesnt need a Combine (which is, frankly, regarded as far more important than it really is)

Scouts know how bad Watson is. Proving himself against a strong defense like Washington should help minimize doubt.

I agree that he already has them drooling, but their primary concern will be experience and volume of tape. One more game would help there (albeit slightly).

Agree 100%

He needs to slide down to about 15, and head on down to lovely South Beach next year. Not biased at all here.

I agree with buckeyeintn. You have the rest of your life to work and believe me, once you're past high school football is a lot more work than play so why not enjoy the fruits of your excellent labor this season as a starter and travel to the Rose Bowl and put on a show? He'll ball out I'm sure of it.

Well, I didn't say it would rocket him up, just that it would lock him into that top 5 range. Right now I feel like he could go as low as 10-12. Since he is just a first-year starter, I think the bowl is still valuable for him.
No, I’m saying he’s rocketing up. He’s doing that because people are finally paying attention to what he’s already done.

He can make all the throws and showed what he can do v a better defense than Washington already. Just like when Tua shit the bed v UGA in the SEC Championship it won’t matter what Haskins does in the Rose Bowl. He could lay a complete egg and then go lights out at his pro day and still be top 10. Higher depending on draft order.

If Darnold went 3rd, how does Haskins not go top 5?
It all depends on who needs QBs and where they pick. Raiders May stay with Carr, for example...while the Jags will be taking QB. Some of the bad teams this year took QBs last year. I have to figure if you’re the first or second QB taken you will go top 10 somewhere regardless, just because someone will always need one.

Pretty much the Giants also but they seem to oddly be trying to avoid to take Eli's repkacement

2019 NFL Mock Draft: Jaguars, Patriots find next franchise quarterback, Bills get Josh Allen a deep threat

$
9. Jacksonville Jaguars

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State. Same as last week. When Cody Kessler and Blake Bortles combine to go 17 for 23 for 145 yards ... well, something has to change. Jags executive Tom Coughlin historically likes college quarterbacks with more experience but the current circumstances in Jacksonville may dictate that he deviate from that plan. Haskins has had a monster season at Ohio State. For much of the season it sounded like the redshirt sophomore was set to return to school. But Haskins, who reportedly got a first-round grade from the advisory board, might have the most upside of any quarterback in this class. Put another way: The Jags need a post-Bortles plan and Haskins could be the best option.

2019 NFL mock draft: The strangest QB draft in years

9. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
As expected, Haskins received a first-round grade from the NFL draft advisory committee. That’s only because the committee doesn’t dish out a higher grade. Haskins is a top 10 player in this draft, and the best quarterback.

2019 NFL Mock Draft 6.0: Late-season edition

8. New York Giants: Dwayne Haskins
School: Ohio State
Position: Quarterback
Have to consider a quarterback with a top-10 pick this time, right? Bolstering either line would work regardless, but the Giants need an Eli Manning replacement plan. Haskins is the QB wild card in this draft if he declares.

NFL mock draft 2019: Redskins, Giants get QBs; Raiders raid 'Bama for defense

5. New York Giants
Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
Haskins was not a candidate for early entry until late in the Buckeyes' season, when he had some jaw-dropping games with his big arm and downfield accuracy. He has ideal size as a strong pocket passer (6-3, 220 pounds) with the right dose of athleticism. Although his NFL-tied head coach in waiting Ryan Day will try to get him to stay, the irony is Day has prepared Haskins well to go pro now and immediately pose the most appeal in an enigmatic QB class.

If Haskins "goes"; in addition to the Giants, the Jaguars could pick him.

Just sayin': In 2018 the #9 pick got a contract for $18.6M.
