either by his arm or buy his feet. IMO There are a few OSU guys that are way over-rated and then there are guys like Krenzel that never gets his due. The guy deserves more respect than he gets.......
Krenzel speaks to large crowd at dinner
By ,
Mount Vernon News
DANVILLE ? Over 800 people crammed into the St. Luke Community Center on Monday for a chance to do two rare things ? eat raccoon and meet Craig Krenzel.
The dinner, a fundraiser for the Danville Lions Club, draws attention all across the country. This year was the 64th anniversay of the dinner.
?It started out as a joke,? explained Pat Crow, who organizes the dinner along with his wife, Sandy, who is president of the Danville Lions Club.
According to Pat Crow, a few of the Lions Club members were going to have a dinner for the rest of the club at one of the members? house.
?They didn?t tell them what they were going to have,? said Crow. ?When they arrived, it was raccoon. The second year, community members wanted to come.?
Crow said Krenzel drew what he believes is the third-largest crowd the dinner has ever had. Former Gov. James A. Rhodes and Coach Woody Hayes each brought nearly 1,000 guests; Krenzel had 800 in attendance.
?People just loved him, especially the young kids,? said Crow. ?They swarmed around him and wanted autographs. They had good questions, too.?

JEROMESVILLE -- Former Ohio State quarterback Craig Krenzel told Hillsdale High School students to formulate a plan for success by focusing on the priorities and people in their lives.
Krenzel, a three-time academic all-Big Ten student who led the Buckeyes to a Bowl Championship Series national title during the 2002-03 season, came to Hillsdale on Monday to reflect on his experiences and share his recipe for making it in life. His speech wrapped up FFA week, which took place last week.
Speaking in the school's auditorium in front of students, teachers and faculty, the former OSU player said the sky is the limit for students as long as they make good decisions. Although immortalized for leading the Buckeyes to a championship, Krenzel said "football was never something that defined me." Instead, he said, character and hard work did. His basic plan for success includes following the "three P's."
"People always ask since I was fortunate enough to be a part of a national championship team ... 'What does it take to be successful? What are some common ingredients?,' " Krenzel said.
"To me, once again, there's three things, and I call them my three P's to success. To me, there's three main ingredients regardless of what you want to do to be successful. The first is a plan. The second is priorities. And the third is people."
