Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
The captains were selected by a player vote, and Stroud received the most votes among all players.
Definitely the undisputed team leader, i.e. it's Stroud's team......

Enough of this poppycock about CJ needing to run the ball more. The more he runs the ball, the more chance he has of getting hurt, no? I get that he could get tagged if the OL lets some bruiser get by, and yeah, it'll happen five times this season (prognostication). But considering that CJ is kinda the main cog of the offense, would suggest that he do what he does best, and that's throw the football. Agree that if we're looking at third and short (you build your own situation) and the WRs have taken everybody outside, he could find the crease for a first down, he should go for it. But that's what you have running backs for. All I'm saying is that this whole #1 offense in the country thing is predicated on having CJ at QB, and to risk him to pile up Heisman points is probably not in tOSU's interest. Not knocking our two back-up QBs, from what little I've seen, they look pretty competent, but they're not CJ.
Yes, I'm aware of the back-up history of tOSU, where 12-guage led us to the 2014 National Championship as a third stringer. His skillset was what was needed, as I'm not convinced that JT Barrett could have thrown for what, three TDs over the Bama safeties. And that my friends was the difference in the game. In 2002, our QB wasn't a runner, but racked up almost 100 yards (?) - certainly not expected to run, and Miami's D was caught flat-footed, in leading tOSU to the 2002 Nati. I'm sounding like a Harvard MBA, can argue both sides equally well, but cannot make a decision. tOSU has a better chance to win a Nati with CJ throwing, not running.....Go Bucks!
