QB CJ Stroud (All B1G, 2022 B1G QB of the Year, All-American, NFL OROY, Houston Texans)

I think this is more a manifestation of the 'freedom' of being on a team with low/negative expectations.

Last week in Stroud's presser he talked about his time at Ohio State and being expected to not just win every single game, but beating every "less than" opponent by 70.

Dude probably got death threats the night of the Minnesota game, his first start which he did win. We all know 100% he got death threats after losing to UM twice. I would not be surprised if Stroud's opinions of his time at Ohio State are a mixed bag.
I just want a Buckeye QB who speaks as passionately about us as CJ speaks about Houston Texan fans.

Deserves got nuthin to do with it for most fans…
I'm sure those Texan fans he has played two games in front of have totally earned CJs passionate devotion. I'm sorry he was on a 5-star stacked team at OSU where he was expected to severely beat teams full of three stars and fans actually hoped for a win or at least some emotion when he faced an evenly matched team twice a year.

Thanks for proving my point.

Players come to schools like Ohio State knowing expectations are high. Was your point that we should have safe spaces now after losses where delicate players can hide to avoid the spotlight? There are asshole fans everywhere, including in Texas. It's just interesting to me that he showed zero personality here and after one win in the NFL he's this super- passionate fan's player.

The whole team from Day on down seems somewhat soulless aside from Day's recent embarrassing rant against a Lou Holtz.

The self-aggrandizing by some of the members "fan"base over what these kids do for Ohio State in a fucking GAME never ceases to amaze me. The constant chase of perfection (or in your case, "personality", what a fucking statement that is  ) is getting boring, however.

The real fun part is how some of these people, who did nothing but whine, moan and complain about Stroud when he was here are now jumping on his bandwagon now that he's started well in the NFL. Very scUM-fanbase like with Tom Brady, in fact.

Not exactly a group I'd want to associate with, but you do you, superfan.

You need to get off yourself and stop jerking it to that high horse your sitting on. I can point out that he shows more fire after four games in the NFL than he ever showed in Columbus, and you can be happy rewatching his Michigan losses where it looked like the team didn't care because to you its just a GAME. Some people actually enjoy college football more than the NFL because the college game is more emotional. Please forgive the rest of us who want something more to cheer on than a soulless NFL development squad.

I don't remember Day letting this guy in front of a camera.
