QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

Cardale needs some courtside tickets and to just heckle / intimidate Noah like this guy.

It would be the greatest TV.

Maybe Cardale can do a short video spoofing the Cavs domestic violence commercial with Noah as his lady.

This is all so crazy. No way CJ would be allowed to fight while he's still a Buckeye. You guys are just out of your minds. Plus, why in the world would they let him wear a helmet???? I call BS. You guys are stupid. No chance it happens.

just saying.

turds.

True. Only Notre Dame "student"-athletes are permitted to use their football reputation to set up a professional boxing match.

Did Derek Isaman fight while playing football for the Buckeyes or after? I think it was after.

I still think the best way to funnel cash to athletes is through the arts. Nothing stopping Cardale and his boys from forming a band, booking the Newport and charging $50 a head. Same thing with art. Who is the NCAA to question art or music as being legitimate?

Watch me derail this thread, but I think there was a Boise RB who was told to stop selling his handmade beanies because he was "using his fame" to generate income.

I remember hearing that story about the Boise guy. I didn't remember that he was a running back. Was he the same guy who scored the winning 2-pt-conversion against Oklahoma? Anyway, yeah - NCAA was worried people would buy the beanies because of who he was, not because they wanted beanies. I don't know how you prove that. I guess they're worried about precendents. If they let him get away with selling beanies, they need to let the next guy get away with selling clown noses. And the next guy gets away with selling hubcaps on the street. Who buys hubcaps on the street? The people who want to support starving athletes would buy hubcaps on the street.

That said, to hell with the NCAA - they wouldn't let that Utah or Utah State (I forget) basketball coach buy a pizza for a player whose father had just died, and he needed to talk to someone.

Edit - Excellent derailment.

Go Cardale!! I hope you and JT and Braxton each pass for 25 touchdowns and run for 10 more. Hell, I hope Collier, Gibson, and burrows combine for another 25 touchdowns throughout the year. Ha!!

Yep, same guy. Also proposed to his girlfriend after they won.

That very same year they let Notre Dame's Zbikowski box at Madison Square Gardens. So according to the NCAA you can fight as a professional athlete (if he was a recruit wouldn't this have barred him from any eligibility at all?)... but you're not allowed to crochet some $5 hats (Johnson makes some while being interviewed).
Thus the "only Notre Dame" quip earlier.

Also that same year, Colorado Jr WR Jeremy Bloom was declared ineligible for his remaining two seasons of football for signing endorsements to further his Olympic skiing career.

CARDALE JONES TO THROW FIRST PITCH AT ORIOLES-INDIANS GAME ON JUNE 5TH

Cardale Jones' first Major League pitch is now set in stone.

The Iron King will throw the first pitch at June 5th's Baltimore Orioles-Cleveland Indians contest.

Like anything involving No. 12, it should come with high entertainment value:

Cardale Jones @CJ12_
I'm letting yall know now, @Indians this will not be your typical first pitch throw, it's going to be my "try out" throw

I knew he was the only one going the distance with Tyson before. Tyson started knocking out men at 17 or 18 for money

DON'T YOU DARE THINK ABOUT BLITZING CARDALE JONES

Most inexperienced quarterbacks can be rattled by pressure, but the Iron King, Cardale Jones, First of His Name, Poacher of Badgers, Controller of Tides, Slayer of Ducks, Troll Sultan, and 12th Son of Ohio is no average inexperienced quarterback.

"Throw some pressure at him," the thinking went. "Make him get past his first read, move his feet, and good things will follow." It sounded good in theory.
