fyi, if you take the Miller ferry you can start drinking while you're waiting in line on the mainland. Might as well get a head start while you wait for an hour or so. You and your buddies should be able to kill a case before you make it to the island.

Well, it's gonna be me and my girlfriend, so I doubt we'll be killing a case waiting for the ferry. Right now, I'm leaning toward taking the Jet Express, anyway, since it has the later departures from PiB. What are their beverage policies?

Take a 20 oz Coke bottle drink half of it and fill it with rum. Perfect for the ride over. :p

None allowed. They don't permit drinks or snacks. It's only a 20 minute ride though. Also, if you have AAA, then you might want to check with them for discounted rates.

Brutus, I didn't ride the Jet last year but I'm sure the bathrooms were open the previous year. I think we've always had a few cold ones on the Jet, the Rocket (now out of business) that ran out of Sandusky Bay was a drinkfest.

edit: New to PIB this year is a 200 seat swim up bar b/t the Grand Islander and Islander Inn (behind Mr Eds). Supposed to be one of the largest in the world and also have a "tiki" platform for live music. Was told the Bayshore Inn on the East side of the Island is a great place to stay. It is away from the bars and has great views of Kelleys Island.
