I really hope Meyer picks up the recruiting on defense. The lack of talent out there is glaring today and honestly has been all year.

Yeah unfortunately at all levels there seem to be significant holes right now, whether they be backups or starters.

The talent is not this bad. The scheme is poor along with being poorly executed. Even bad defenses adjust and can stop someone. They don't sit back, play the same exact defense, and allow the offense to make the same play over and over again.
