No Hummel = extremely tough to win on the road. Hope he comes back refreshed and ready to go for the rest of the season. Ugly possession by us at the end of regulation, Jackson needs to dish that ball off. Or at least get the ball inside to Johnson with 5 or so ticks left and let him do his thing. Good win for you guys though, seeya later this month.

that "debate" they had at the end about whether or not Hummel would have mattered was so stupid. it was a tie game, of course he would have mattered!

Surprise stat of the night: we outrebounded Purdue 34-19. We must have had 4x as many turnovers as the Boilers (that stat isn't up yet).

Monster night for Evan Turner - 26 and 12, with 7 dimes. Great night for JuJuan Johnson of Purdue, also, with 30 points.

Yeah, but who knows. Him with a bad back, maybe he woulda got like 10-12 points and would have taken possessions away from JaJuan Johnson, who had a monster game. I know it's gotta be tough for him, (and the fans) because we're trying to win a Big 10 championship here and he's on the bench for a big game.

Lot of PU fans on our forums complaining about the no-call on Jackson's drive at the end of regulation. My thinking has always been, don't force the refs to make a call like that at the end, when you are on the road. Especially if it is Ed Hightower. Only way we are going to get a call is if Jackson dishes off to Johnson, and he goes up for a dunk and gets hammered or something. So you might as well try that, or like I said before get it in to him and let him try a turnaround jumper/turnaround jump hook, with his long arms.

Change of subject but was something wrong with Mullens? Seemed like he was out for a good portion of the 2nd half and for a good portion of OT. But he still had like 15 pts and a great shooting percentage. Glad we could do our part to hopefully help him jump to the NBA for next year. :)

I agree. 20 wins now with the 4 quality wins should get us in. The only egg we really laid was West Virginia and we're without our leader and best defensive player at the moment. If Matta continues his streak, we're in the tourney. If this team continues to come together and Buford stays hot, we've got a shot at the winning the Big10 tourney and a 6 seed or better.

I'll take an invitation, anything else is just gravy.

Go Bucks!

Looked like he chipped his tooth when he got elbowed in the jaw. Anyone else see that?

How can you call yourself a fan? You're objective. :wink2:
