officiating sucks.

college basketball is being ruined in front of me. i have minimal interest in non osu games anymore. why kids travel, hack and fundamentals are lacking. should i go on?

Traveling at the college level has become a JOKE. Biggest things I see...

1. Kid is running to receive a pass. After receiving pass, "momentum" allows him to take 3 or 4 steps before coming to a stop. No call. It has gotten so out of hand it is almost comical now. I find myself yelling at least 20 times a game "TRAVELING!!" at this.
2. The infamous "jump stop". Why is this never called?
3. Shuffling of feet in the paint after receiving a pass.

They seriously need to crack down on this stuff.

Hightower is the most attention whorish Ref in the league. Is these guys job performance even evaluated? Shouldn't it be like other jobs? Why are all the referees 50+ and fat?

I'll add shuffling of both feet when catching the ball at the 3-point line. Often guys catch the ball then move both feet and shoot.

I agree with the statement that last night's game was well officiated overall. Only a couple of bad calls by Hightower got me going.

During last night's game, I was also thinking about how bad Rucker used to be.

I agree. They let the hand checks go consistently but also let the ball-handler use the off-arm to guard the ball. A pretty physical game from start to finish.

There were a couple cheap fouls called against each team in the 2nd half that I didn't like, but only one or two that really got me fired up.

i think the game was headed to be a tad chippy and they wanted to reign it in a tad. they tossed out about 2 ticky tack calls both ways and that was that. it worked. or so i thought.
