Snickers is too sappy.

Really, what does it matter if the dog is a female and you name it Teddy? Since it's a female it won't respond to a male name ? It certainly looks like a teddy. Perhaps, you can spell it Teddie, if you're concerned about a gendered name.

You could call that dog penis and it's still going to respond.

Teddy should be the winner.

:oh: :io:

People who leave animals by the road, or dump them out of cars are heartless bastards. I'm glad that you came across this little puppy and are going to give her the good life that she deserves.
I think that people that just leave a dog on the side of the road should be sent to jail. There are plenty of things to do with a dog that you may not be able to keep anymore. Find a family or friend who wants it, a shelter, all sorts of places to go. You just don't leave any pet behind to fend for itself.

My buddy and his wife named their male cat Leah. That was one pissed off cat.

I hope I don't fit in that category, but I told my fiance that if she ever comes home with a dog it will "run away". I can't stand how dogs stink up a house, and you have to be there to take care of them all the time. If I want something that smells bad and has to be taken care of all the time I'll just have a kid. My parents had a dog for the first 16 years of my life and that was enough for me. Sorry to rant.

Yeah dude... we know... you're a dog hater...

Name her Catcalls. *snickers*

Actually, Snickers is kinda cute, but that comes from someone who once named a cat "Cat" ("We're not keeping her, don't you go naming her!"), so take it for what it's worth.

I can't believe that none of the sick bastards on here have told you to name your dog Stain.

My Springer Spaniel is named Oliver, and my sister's Golden is Brodie(from Mallrats).

Also, I just picked up a Dyson vacuum called the Animal. It is designed for pet hair/dander. Worth every penny.

I'm not crazy about naming Kujo "snickers" - sounds too soft. I would recommend you rescind the "veto" power that your lady has assumed - I sense possible danger if this is allowed to continue. If you cannot settle on Kujo than how about Mojo, Junk or Stuff?

Ginnie not a bad suggestion, but the name 'Jenny' is too close and is about as evil as they come in my book (ex-gf).

Teddy was my choice from day one, now its time to look up definitions.

Sweet, I think I might put my foot down since I have to take care of it for a year with no help (she's still at school).

<table> <tbody><tr><td>Theodora</td> <td>Female</td> <td>Greek</td> <td>Form of THEODORE.Divine Gift</td></tr></tbody> </table>
The dogs name could be theodora, and I'll call it teddy.

Is the real name retarded? Maybe... but teddy sure isn't.

Josh... I think you're over thinking this shit.

A name will present itself...

Of course we have a cat that we've been calling "Kitty" for 15 years.

Just call the dog Teddy for a while... if it fits her you'll know.

male dog = easy to name
girl dog = I have no idea what the heck to name it without it being girly

Probably going to go with Teddy.

Another angle on this is that I do not have the dog yet... I'll be getting it once I move to Columbus in a few weeks. Otherwise I definitely would have just picked a name by now.

Nice looking dog J. Just try and socialize the dog as much as you can with other dogs and people. You may have to deal with some issues where the dog is skiddish because of it's shitty owners before you. Good luck.
Will do, she's been doing great with other dogs and people at a house with multiple dogs... and also at horse shows with tons of commotion, people and critters.

We're pretty excited about her turning out well, but we definitely need to love her enough to undo what might have happened before. I'm the type of guy who sits down and plays with the dog at any party... so she'll definitely be loved.
