NEWARK -- A Licking County jail inmate has been charged with two misdemeanors after allegedly sexually abusing a dog.
Clifford Hook, 19, is facing one count each of public indecency, a third-degree misdemeanor; and prohibitions/companion animal, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Hook was working community service hours at the Licking County Animal Shelter on Aug. 18.
He was assigned to walk a dog that he allegedly abused. Another inmate witnessed the incident.
