PSU - the rise of a new rule :-p

I can't imagine why a bright person such as yourself (clearly you're bright....you're a Buckeye fan) would want to tarnish themselves with going to a game there.

I'm already tainted with the PSU virus, so it's too late for me. But save yourself.....I beg you.

I know its dangerous..but I'm gonna need to build up some immunity to these opposing schools stadiums/campuses if I'm gonna make the trip up north later in the season (hopeing to win the student ticket lottery for that one)

Penn State football Q&A with Ray Fittipaldo

Q: The level of talent from year to year on offense and defense appears to be equal, but the development of these players is very different. If I was a high school quarterback or offensive lineman, I would not want to come to Penn State. My chances of getting into the NFL would be small. The defense has done a very good job of developing all positions and getting these players drafted, especially defensive linemen over the last several years. The offensive troubles must be attributable to coaching techniques and philosophy. Is it time for a change in these areas?
Bob Griffin, Ponca City, Okla.
FITTIPALDO: You make some excellent points, Bob. Here is some evidence to further illustrate your point. Since 2000, Penn State has had 26 players drafted. Fourteen have played defense, 11 played offense and one was a kicker. But of the 11 offensive players drafted only two were drafted in the first round, Bryant Johnson and Larry Johnson in 2002. No quarterbacks (Michael Robinson was drafted as a running back) and only two offensive linemen were taken. No other offensive player was drafted before the third round.

Two first round draft picks on offense in the last 7 years? Wow that's abysmal. 2 offensive linemen drafted period? That's even worse.

Minnesota offensive players drafted since 2000: 11

First round offensive players: 1

Offensive Lineman drafted: 5

Minnesota vs Penn State head to head since 2000: Minn 3 PSU 2

:slappy::slappy::slappy:

I was just spouting off a name when I originally said Minnesota, looks like I wasn't too far off.
