Prom Goers To Be Forced To Take Blood-Alcohol Test

I believe that just because someone is under 18, doesn't mean they should be stripped of certain rights. If a few bad apples can spoil the whole bunch, then all citizens should report to the F.B.I. field office and submit a sample of thier D.N.A. It's unfortunate, but a few rapists and murderers can ruin freedom for the rest.

Unfortunately, the rules change when you're dealing with children and schools. Children attending school or school events should not have all the rights listed in the book. If children are given all those rights, then schools subject themselves to lawsuits that they shouldn't have to deal with.

While you're shuffling the kids through the metal detectors every morning go ahead and strip search and give 'em blood and piss tests at the same time. Hey while you're at it go ahead and RFID the little bastards just so you can make sure they don't get anywhere "bad" when you're not babysitting.

I mean better safe than sorry right?

Or maybe, just maybe one of the school administrators should reach down and find his damn nutsack. Then when a kid comes to the prom obviously shit faced he can use those newly found balls to sit the kid down and call the parents to come get their child.

Heck why don't the educators get really crazy and actually start teaching rather than nannying.

Oh really, then how did we get a hotel room when we were 18?
...because you blew the desk clerk.

Looking back, it doesn't look like such a bad idea. At the time I would have been major pissed off though. I kind of had the best of both worlds, our prom was at the marriot north, I had a room there. We spent most of the night walking between the room and the dance anyway (obviously bottles were stashed up in the room).
