On the basis of a suggestion fromBuckskin86 (several days ago, sorry this is late), we'll be keeping track of all the preseason polls and forming a consensus ranking. I tracked 11 polls last year, but didn't tabluate a consensus ranking. Here's the evolution. At the moment this is a PDF file (see link) that you can view. Hopefully I can "con" Mili into creating a "dynamic" layout for this information much like his team roster page. It would be cool to click on a poll heading and see the teams reorganize into the order for that poll, etc. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion Buckskin86! The supporting information will follow. The following PDF file does NOT account for the ATHLON poll yet. They still have 5 team rankings to announce (over the next 5 days), so we will recalculate the consensus totals at that time.
BTW, several polls are available ONLY as a hard copy from a magazine (not on the web). If anyone runs across a preseason poll that isn't listed, PLEASE post it in this thread. We'll add it to the other rankings/polls. Thanks
