Preseason Consensus Rankings

which poll is oregon state ranked in?

a few notable things i just spotted..

athlon has wvu as #5, 11 spots higher than their average.

cbs doesnt rank iowa, 10 spots lower than their average.

cbs ranked lsu and georgia one and two, gave florida their highest ranking and put memphis at 13 (the only poll to even rank them). while giving osu their lowest ranking one spot below louisville who they also promoted 12 spots higher than their average. (i hate dodd and refuse to even read that website anymore)

cnnsi ranked minni 13 spots higher than their average.

Two preseason #1 rankings? Georgia's doomed.
Why? FSU did it in '93 and UCONN did it this year in basketball

Yeah Georgia is the doomed Sporst Illustrated preseason number 1. No way they win the championship.

The Mongoose
Actually, I doubt SI puts UGA #1. In fact, I hear USC will be their #1 choice. That was just 1 writer from CNNSI's opinion.

Stat Fox Edge I've never really hard of, but I saw it and thought I'd add that one to the list as well. Mili will probably update the Preseason Poll link in the near future.

Yeah, in the other 9 polls already listed, Memphis isn't ranked at all and OSU is no worse than #12. Makes you wonder. They obviously see our graduating seniors as a rebuilding project for OSU not a reloading year. It'll be nice to prove them wrong.

WVU is overrated in terms of the team, but anyone from that joke of a conference can pile up some serious wins if they are adequate, thus could end up with the high ranking.

Good thing computers don't have feelings ... there will be a lot of ridicule for the Cosgrove computer rankings. They've got Miami of Florida finishing at #40! Miami of Ohio finishing at #10. Hell, the MAC media have Miami (OH) picked to finish 4th in the conference. Oh well!
