The Statue of Liberty play was executed perfectly. The entire Illinois D bit on the pump. Then Troy holds the ball and Pittman sets it on fire – a thing of beauty. When thousands of tired and poor started pouring out of the stands and JT accepted them all – well, it brought tears to my eyes.
HALFTIME AWARD
They are always making some sort of presentation at halftime – often a contribution from a wealthy benefactor. But how special to watch Matta present a check for $1,000,000 dollars. I hope O’Brien puts it to good use.
NEW SWEATER VEST
Today JT was wearing a sweater vest that said “Who needs brains when you have these?” What is that about?
