Premier League (Official Thread)

If Hugo Lloris is on an F'ing plane to England, he obviously is going to take a medical and going to sign with someone (Spurs).

I don't know why Lyon won't just decline comment, rather than saying he has permission to travel to England.

Spurs are doing a bit of business today.

Still love the line from talkSPORT today, "So much speculation...very little fact."

I'm really hoping Chelsea aren't going to loan Sturridge to Liverpool. We will need him this season.

What are you talking about, Di Matteo is going with a 4-6-0 like Spain.

He's just 19 and needs regular time, but I would've liked to see Lukaku stay too (he's in form, but it's early).

The group CL draw was not nice to Chelsea, many of those matches are paired up with having to play the likes of Man City, Tottenham, Arsenal in the premier league. On short rest.

Sturridge will be crucial to striker rotation. If the league matches were weaker opponents I'd be okay with starting young Lucas Piazon or even Victor Moses up front. But we are going to be fighting those clubs for a Champions League spot next...need our second best striker on the pitch.

Plus, I don't want to help fucking Liverpool in any way :P

Yeah, I got a kick out of that comment. "We haven't reached an agreement, but we let the player fly to London just in case."

Aulas has been rather talkative all summer. He set a deadline for the end of negotiations at least three times, and backed away from it every time.

No wonder Aulas is butthurt:

Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC

Hugo Lloris at Spurs Lodge for his medical. Clubs have agreed a ?10m fee, rising to ?15m. Looks a great deal if it goes through.
Also, it seems that Nice get 25% of that as a sell-on fee.

EDIT: Also, apparently Dempsey has rejected a move to Aston Villa. He best move will be to swallow his pride and get back to work for the Cottagers.

Nah, he'll be a Liverpool player by the end of the (U.S.) business day.

He's not any closer to CL football than he was at Fulham. You have multiple squads fighting for one position.
