The sale of Modric has finally been officially announced by Spurs. Glad that's over with and hopefully this leads to the other moves they need to make with the squad before the end of the week.

The amount I'm seeing is 33 million GBP, which is more than what was being prematurely reported a couple weeks ago. If that's the true amount, I think it's fair

Hey, it only took 2-3 months  (when everyone knew the outcome from the start).

Since Shakhtar rejected the first bid for Willian, Spurs have to move on from that (or bid again).

Brad Friedel can still log some minutes, but eventually, you have to move on and find a replacement.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claims talks have progressed regarding a deal which would see goalkeeper Hugo Lloris join Tottenham Hotspur.

Lloris has been linked with a move to Tottenham for much of the summer, with Lyon reportedly demanding ?15million (?11.9m) for the France international.

Yep. I'm a big Friedel fan and I think he can do the job for the team for a little while longer. The club has to think of the future though, and Lloris is a player who can provide top-shelf goalkeeping for the next decade.

If the move goes thru, I'd love to see the club keep Friedel and play him in Europa League and the cup competitions. If hewishes to move on and continue his consecutive starts streak though, I hope the club does their best to accommodate him with a transfer before the window closes.
