WTF was that all about?

20 minutes in & we've already got ourselves a high drama North London Derby. Adebayor opens the scoring for Spurs only to be sent off a few minutes later. I couldn't make this stuff up even if I tried.

Didn't take long for Arsenal to respond to that Adebayor red. Walcott did well on the sideline, but great header by Mertesacker for the equalizer. Looks very daunting for Spurs now.

More bad luck for Spurs. Two lucky deflections lead to another goal for Arsenal late in the 1st half.

3-1 now. Two late goals the big killer & Santi Cazorla the other. He's been remarkable since Adebayor got his marching orders.

Stupid refs ruin what would have been a fantastic game. The ref that sent adebayor off has done so three of the four times he has been given a red card in th epl.

No, that was a deserved red card. Stupid, stupid tackle.

Spurs are missing quality in their backline, they're missing their two top-choice players in central midfield and they lack players who can boss the ball. Adebayor was the most important player on the pitch for Spurs because he was the one player who could hold the ball and distribute. They would have been better off having virtually any other player sent off instead at that point, Bale included. Stupid.

Totally agree. Brainless challenge in a foolish situation. Must've had flashbacks of seeing RVP's face on the ground & felt the need to destroy another Arsenal player.

Spurs might just need to pack it in to save this from being an epic beat down. Arsenal could get to 6-7 goals easily at this rate.

They've packed it in, just not in the sense you're referring to. At this point I'm not as disappointed with the sending off or the loss as I am with the fact that when the ten men remaining on the pitch were given an excuse to give up, they gladly took it. At least go down displaying something other than this gutless, absent-minded, lazy mess.

Silver lining: I'm working up a good amount of extra bile for Wisconsin this morning.
