Premier League (Official Thread)

That's a vocal minority. Most of the other fans still see the Arsene from the Invincible years.

As for the bitching over the old Man U teams. TONY ADAMS. They seem to forget the old drunk and his "uncompromising defense".

Then you really don't know Arsenal fans. Buckeye513 is correct. In no way do I/they view Arsene as a cult leader. Most think his spending strategy doesn't work and he takes a lot of criticism for it.

I would have rather seen another Spurs drubbing. Arsenal basically demonstrated how shit you could be for 89 minutes against Spurs and still win. Every week I see something more hapless than I've ever seen on a football pitch before.

Tim Sherwood acts like a child and blames everybody but himself when things don't go well. He has married himself to playing a 19-y.o. attacking midfielder as a holding player and won't sub him off no matter how poorly he's doing out there. I hate to keep turning over the management, but I'm anxiously counting down the days until Sherwood is gone and he's replaced by a manager with some sort of professionalism (or at least a fucking UEFA coaching badge of some sort.)

47% of those 17 goals came in the first 20 minutes of the matches.
And at home against the teams that might be in Europe next season, they kept clean sheets against Liverpool, Chelsea, United, and Spurs. They conceded one to Everton and play City next week.

The performance at City wasn't as bad as the scoreline and they won in Dortmund, but they've been absurdly terrible in every other major away match. It's baffling.

Right now there is a culture of losing when it matters. They need a strong leader and I don't see one either on the team or in the manager's role.

It's really strange how as soon as the calendar turned over Arsenal turned off, it's not so much that they are losing, it's how they are losing, they are getting trashed. And I realize that they have a lot of injured players, but even that does not excuse 5-1 to Liverpool and 6-0 to Chelsea, don't know what Wenger thinks he's doing, but it's obviously not working.
