My 4 year old daughter (middle name is spelled Grayce:urban2:) was born at Wexner Medical Center in October 2010 the day we waxed purdue 49-0. contractions stopped right at kickoff and then literally as the game ended they started again and within 20 minutes of the game being over she was here. My Buckeye baby!

Elise took a trip with her mom and grandmother up to Pennington, NJ to meet her 93yo great-grandfather over Father's Day. This was something that was deeply important and personal to me, as my grandfather is and always has been that one, true, and entirely awesome paternal figure in my (and the whole of my extended family's) life, and I got to spend so much of my childhood around his mother. So here's a semi-recent picture of Elise on that trip, and I invite any other BPers with new members to post their own updates here, if they're so willing. He may not look it, but Don (my grandfather) is more active and sharp at 93 than I think I am at 43, and I hope maybe Elise will go back up there to 'walk' the P-rade with him to celebrate his ever dwindling class at Princeton, something all my cousins, aunts, uncles, and immediate family try to gather together to do each year.

Such a heart-throb... so happy for you
BTW Pennington is a sand wedge from me; lovely town

When I came out here from Ohio, first visit with new MD General Practitioner.. he asked me to get the medical history from my grandparents
I laughed.. he looked puzzled..
"Doc, my last grandparent died when he was 94.. and I wasn't born yet.. he'd be 165 and I'd love to have a chat with him"
