Possible answer to questions on Chekwa verbal?

First off I just wanted to say I am very stoked about the Chekwa verbal and I think Chimdi will be pretty good. However I didn't find his thread or Wallace's the appropriate place to put this. Many have wondered if Chekwa's verbal and all of these offers to CB's means we are out of it for Wallace and if it means Whitner+Youboty are going pro. I posted this on BN and just thought I would put it on here to here your opinions on the matter:
The 2 questions asked following the Chekwa commitent are:
1. Does this mean Whitner and Youboty are going pro?
2. Does this mean we are out of it with Wallace?
A possible answer:
1. Youboty really didn't have that great of a year. Defend him all you want but the 2nd half of the year, his weakness's were exposed. I doubt he is higher than a late 2nd round pick and most likely a mid 3rd rounder. I doubt Youboty leaves. Whitner had a great year but I'm not sure he would go first round. Whitner is the more likely of the 2 to go pro imo. However, Chekwa is a true CB and doesn't affect our safety depth whatsoever. I would read very little into these current offers in regards to Whitner, because all are CB's and we have more than adequate depth, especially with Coleman and Schwartz coming in.
2. Look who we have currently at DB. We have Everett leaving and then have Jenkins, Amos, Underwood(possible transfer), and possibly Lane(currently at RB). We know Jenkins is good and we have Youboty at the max for one more year. Amos should be a stud but is yet to hit the field. I see Underwood transferring and Lane hasn't impressed obviously. Coleman is definetly a safety and Schwartz should be as well. Fact is, we didn't have 1 CB in this class previous to Chekwa's commitment. Another point that has been hammered home but I will say it again: There is a chance that if we get Wallace, he might play offense. What if he comes in looking like a Ginn on offense and we didn't offer Chekwa, Henderson, and possibly offer Udell? We are either A. Forced to play him at CB due to depth issues. or B. Play him on offense and be weak at CB. I wouldn't read into this AT ALL as lack of confidence with Wallace. As I see it, we are in pretty good shape with him and so is PSU. Should be a fight but I really doubt he is a PSU lock. Seems to be speculation on the part of PSU fans that they will get Wallace, just due to the fact of their success in MD.
- Just my opinion on the matter but if you look at both situations and the facts, I think it is safe to say you shouldn't lose any sleep over either matter.
Now your thoughts?

I believe on Bucknuts laguna said that they just offered him because he is a very good player and nothing more. Other than that, I still think we are in pretty good shape with AJ Wallace, and that Youbouty and Whitner will stay.

i said this in Chimid's official thread and i will say it hear again. If osugrad21 knows people who know that AJ Wallace is a silent verbal to PSU, i have to agree with him. he always is so positive about recruits but certainly not AJ. i hope his buddies are wrong as well as I am, but i just find it hard to believe all the offers did not have something to do with AJ's commitment elsewhere.

id say that goes here...just a guess http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19944&page=6

on a side note i heard that hes a hurricane katrina victim from nola...how factual it is i do not know.

I just didn't want to hijack Chekwa's thread in regards to Wallace and Youbty+Whitner. Also I know osugrad's info is pretty good but I actually have a question for osugrad on the matter. Are these sources going on actual information inside the program or are they just confident with the success they have had in Maryland? I believe their success in Maryland will play a role here but I don't think it is the final say. If it is however info inside of the PSU program, then I would say it is pretty credible.

Both...but all of the info is coming from the PSU side so that does leave a speck of hope for the Bucks. However, I will say that sources have always been solid and if they are wrong it will be a first...and a welcomed first.

Without getting into another debate we've already dissected, I would also disagree with you about Youboty being exposed. A CB with a bad hip pointer is like a fish that can't swim. Look for AY to have a big performance in the bowl game.

Interesting. This is why I asked I hadn't heard an OSU insider say that we are out of it for Wallace. Also I didn't know Youboty was injured. Was he injured during the Minnesota game? It did seem odd how he had a solid year up untill that game and then performed poorly the rest of the year. Regardless, I think he will need another year to improve his stock here.

Duane has made his feelings known a few times...nobody has said we are out, but Duane and NVB have both insinuated as much.

However, one thing we will all agree on is that JT is putting on the full court press and being with Ginn Sr. at the AA game is a major plus.

For a kid that is seemingly so impressionable, the last contact is a major plus...

One thing I'd like to clarify again is that many of us received the same PMs so this is not "my" info..the whole BP recruiting team is on this one.

I'd love for us to be wrong.

Edit: I missed the last part of your post...AY was injured in the MSU game and his performance went downhill after that game.
